Aunjanue The. Ellis Taylor is an American actor and producer. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in African-American Studies from Brown University and an MFA in acting from the Tisch School of Arts New York University. Aunjanue Ellis. Ellis is is an American producer and actress who has worked in theater as well as television and film productions and is actively involved on both sides of the screen. Her career began as an actress in theatre and then went on to make appearances in numerous TV shows, both mainstream and independent films. Her most famous role was Miranda Shaw in ABC's Quantico, and also appeared on BET's epic series The Book of Negroes. For both of these roles she received critical acclaim and a variety of nominations and awards including an award from the Television Critics Choice Award for Best Actress. In 1995, she was the first actress to make her debut with The Tempest as Ariel. Her stage credits are Come and Gone Drowning Crow as well as Seeking the Genesis, a Broadway production by Joe Turner. When it comes to film, she is best known for her roles in films such as Men of Honor The Caveman's Valentine The Express and The Help. On television her regular role in the ABC's crime drama series High Incident has earned her the praise of her fellow actors.
