Tom Hanks

Tom Hanks-2-1024x767Thomas Jeffrey Hanks (born July 9th 1956) is an American actor and film maker. He is known for his dramatic and comedic performances, he is considered to be one of the most loved and recognizable film stars worldwide and is widely regarded as an American famous cultural icon. Thomas Jeffrey Hanks was a Concord, California native to Janet Marylyn Hanks, a hospital worker and Amos Mefford Hanks an itinerant cook. His mother's clan, named "Fraga", was entirely Portuguese and his father was of mostly English heritage. Tom was raised in what he calls"a "fractured" family. He had no experience in acting in college , and credits the difficulty he faced to be cast in a university play as the reason for his beginning his professional career. He was a part of the auditions in downtown Cleveland for a community theatre play. Then the show, he was contacted to Cleveland by the director. This was the point the point where his acting career started.
